Triangling

I've had a great time sewing this week.  I'm really into 'triangling' and am anxious to get them done.  It took about an hour to complete one, and then I decided to work on a corner kite.  I haven't made any of them yet, so this was a new endeavor.  The one I chose takes lot of reverse applique, and hopefully, I'll finish all of that tonight to show you tomorrow.

Monday was the day for the latest block pattern for the Jelly Roll Quilt Along.  I was really happy with how mine turned out.  Then on Tuesday found that there had been a mistake in the instructions so that they didn't match the sample posted.  That's okay with me;  I'll just make them both.  I seldom make small quilts, and had already decided to make enough blocks to make a bed size quilt.

My daughter's home this weekend and wants me to do a little sewing for her, and until that's done I won't be working on any of my projects.  I made a lot of clothes for her when she was a child, but haven't sewed for her for a long time.  She has picked out a beautiful pattern and fabric, and if my skills are up to it, it will be a really pretty dress.  We'll see...

My sewing room is in such disarray that I can hardly stand it.  I have my projects all over the place, some sewing I'm doing for a friend, and now the sewing for my daughter.  Scraps, pattern pieces, miscellaneous threads , etc., etc.  So once I finish my daughter's dress, no more sewing until the room is in order.  Even I can stand just so much!!

You are doing well on those triangles. I can't wait to see the dress you are making for your daughter. My sewing room needs some attention soon as it is almost to the "I-can't-stand-it-any-longer" point!!!

Your blocks look lovely all piled up like that. With making the triangles I think it is better to make a few of them at a time, they seem to get easier somehow. My sewing room isn't too bad yet, everything is in nice, orderly piles (who am I kidding, lol)

I love your progress so far;)
Your daughter wanting you to make her a dress is great. I am afraid that my daughter will never again wear anything "girlish"...her wedding was the one and only stint I can foresee occuring;)
And speaking of sewing areas in disaray.....mine is a disaster. So much so that I CAN'T work on anything until I get it cleaned up and organized again. I think that's what is really causing the quilter's block.
Happy Quilting!!
