Not much of a sewing day today. We had a terrible storm in the early afternoon and we lost power for a couple of hours. It was even too dark to do any hand sewing. During the power outtage, hubby took 2 small swap packages out to mail for me, but the computers were down at the PO and they couldn't accept my packages. I guess everything runs by computer. Hopefully, the power will stay on the rest of the evening and I can make some progress on my Summer Mini Quilt. I really want to finish it this week before we head off to the beach.
Today, also, I received word that it's time to send my Christmas blocks off to my partners, which of course means that I will be receiving blocks to add another project to my list. Also, Aunt Pitty Pat sent out word that she has mailed out our packages of blocks from the Disappearing 9-patch swap - another project to work on. I'm really excited about them and looking forward to starting work on them after vacation. I need to make a list of the deadlines for all of the swaps I'm in so that I don't accidentally miss one.

We are getting the storms here now ... love your town. TTFN ~Marydon
I don't want anymore storms here...ever...since we had the tree come down on our house in the one 10 days ago.
I am so happy your excited about your blocks.. they were very pretty :) I know I loved them. It was so hard to send them on to the new owners :) Also want to thank you for your sweet supportive comments :)

Ps you must have sent that storm my way.. its raining frogs and lizzards here in Oz ;)
How frustrating that must be. I am not sure that I would know what to do with myself without lighting or power.
We've been fortunate to have avoided any power outages during our recent thunder/lightening storms. Living in a rural area, it can take several hours for them to restore our power sometimes which makes it a little inconvenient since we have a well that is inoperable without power... No water is hard. LOL
It amazing how things just don't function anymore without computers you think they have some non electrical way of doing the mail
We are lucky where i live in the UK we don't lose power very often & rarely because of a storm well not unless it a snow storm which some remote places do hope that you don't get anymore
Hugs Janice
I can't wait to send you my blocks. I just have to fix one more row (mine originally came out to 12 inches), and they'll be in the mail. I expect they'll totally be done by Friday or Saturday. You never know with and 8 month old. :)
