This has been a wonderful day, but not much time in the sewing room. An old friend is visiting town and I spent a couple of hours with her this morning catching up. I'm hoping to have the chance to go to her home next spring. It was great spending time with her.
After lunch, hubby and I took a little drive to a quilt shop a few miles away. They have a great assortment of Civil War repro fabric, and I'm really using it up quickly on the Dear Jane quilt. They also have a section of primitive decor, candles, antiques, etc. I found a bucket of very little jar candles. I picked one up and laughed out loud at the fragrance name - Snowman Poop! The lady behind the counter came over and when I showed it to her, she just had to open it to smell it. Neither of us could detect a smell. ( maybe that's good) I looked some more and found another called Elf Farts!! It did have a spicy fragrance. I don't often get a good laugh at a quilt shop!
I was able to spend a little time sewing this afternoon, and got a couple of DJ blocks finished. The little tea cup with them is one of my favorites - very detailed and delicate. These are 4 1/2" squares, so that will give you an idea of its size.

Those candles scents are too funny. I would have been laughing too.
Love all the DJ blocks. They are tiny, aren't they?
I love those blocks. I've not seen candles like that before.
Love the tea cups.....
What interesting candle scents. LOL Your blocks are coming along nicely!!! Did you buy any fabrics today or did the candle scents get you sidetracked? hehehe
Your DJ blocks are lovely! So much fun to make.
Lovely blocks as is the tea cup
